Learning.

It blows my mind how quickly babies learn. And they have SO MUCH to learn in the first place so I guess its a good thing. They don't do something and then the next day they do. Seriously, it blows my mind.

Olivia hasn't had the desire to move really...until last week. She started lunging for things. There was just one problem. She would lunge and land on her face and then start to cry. She even gave herself a nose bleed once, poor thing. Don't worry I was there to comfort her and let her know it was going to be alright.

Then yesterday something changed. She learned that she could lunge forward carefully and land on her hands and knees. Now I have tried to put this girl on her knees before and she HATED it. She wouldn't let me do it. Perhaps she just wanted to learn all by herself. Little miss independent. Granted, she still wont stay on her knees very long, but she is learning, and it is the next step in the whole learning process of crawling. Scary, to be honest...I'm not sure I'm ready for her to crawl. Whether I am ready or not, she will crawl when SHE is ready, and that's okay with me.
I love watching her learn and grow. Right now she is making the funniest noises. When she cries she rolls her tongue (that skill will prove valuable one day when she wants to learn spanish) and recently she started rolling her tongue to make happy noises too. It's pretty precious. Then two days a go she started making horsy noises. Not sure if that makes sense...imagine a small neigh sound coming out of a baby...it would be hilarious if it wasn't done in a whining manner. Okay it's still hilarious.

What a growing girl I have. She is learning. We are happy.

Cutest outfit! Wow, she's a smart little girl! You make a good point... I guess that's why we all come here as individuals -- to learn & grow & make decisions in our own way, our own time, and at our own pace. She's so lucky to have you as here mama :) :)

She is darling! I love LOVE her hair. And you're right, it is crazy how quickly babies learn things. It's like they think of an idea one day and the next, they're moving all over the place. She'll be there so soon!
