Olivia's Birthday!

When we were in Utah for Christmas we celebrated her first birthday with all of the family. I will have a post with pictures and a video of that coming soon.

On her actual birthday, I tried to make it as special as possible. I know she really had no idea what was going on, but I made it special anyway and pretty much devoted the entire day to her- she deserved it!

It started with her getting her big present- a piano. If there is anything I could say about this little girl- it's that she LOVES music. She loves the piano, dancing, singing, etc... It's been that way pretty much from the moment she entered this world a year ago. This piano is awesome because the keys move up and down like a real piano (in fact- you can even play chords on it) and she loves it!! She can't stop playing it- and dancing as she does.
I always love the crazy hair she gets in the morning!
After our hair had been done, and we had our concert pianist dress on!

We took a little field trip to the store to buy her some birthday balloons which she played with practically the whole day. I got her a pink heart, a happy birthday balloon, and an elmo balloon.

We played toys, ate snacks, took a nap, and then went to go get a Vanilla Shake at her daddy's work. You should definitely have ice cream on your birthday. She loved it, of course.

Then we went to the swings- seriously living here is awesome when it is December 31st and you can take your daughter to the park and swing on the swings in nothing but a light jacket. She giggled and babbled and smiled up a storm so I knew that our little birthday adventure was a success.

Later she opened some more presents- her favorite being her brand new blocks! I spelled her name out for her (okay for myself) so that I could have a sort of "after" picture from my maternity pictures.
Contemplating her next move.
Going in for the kill...
She's decided the "I" is the best place to start.
Mission Accomplished. She definitely knows how to destroy things these days.
Then she got a mini cupcake just before bed. Of course I only got a video of this and no pictures- silly me. And she wasn't at all interested in it- possibly because she was exhausted from such a fun day! She was happy all day and we played all day.

I think she must have had a fabulous 1st birthday!
