50's Style

Today's prompt was to pick a Decade or a Region. I was having a hard time thinking of clothing I had that could fit into a Region category so I decided to go with Decade. I brainstormed all day trying to figure out what I would wear. I looked through my closet and decided on 80's....and even picked out an outfit that would work but I wasn't really feeling it.

Kayla's words hit me.... You don't have to go all poodle skirt......and then I saw this cute sweater of mine hiding in my closet and images of poodle skirts ran through my head. So, no poodle skirt but I think you'll get the 50's theme running through it all. What do you think? Is it enough 50's....but more importantly is it modern enough?

forgive the funny facial expression...the hubs was on his way to work and we had to hurry and the picture I really wanted turned out blurry and this one didn't. haha!

the neck ribbon really helps with the '50s vibe. And I love the polkadot shirt.

I agree with Courtney, the ribbon really does it! Pink and black polka dots are so very 50s too!

Woops, take two. It's a great repetition with the black polka dots :)
