Anniversary Date!
We decided to go to El Pinto. Our favorite New Mexican restaurant. It's a bit pricey but totally worth it. There menu is huge and the first couple of times we went there I think we must have ordered the wrong things because it really wasn't that great. We liked it though because they have great chips and salsa and a wonderful eating environment. So much atmosphere. You have to get the Adovada plate....mouth.watering.
We went early so it wasn't the madhouse it usually is. You could seriously wait for 3 hours. We ate our delicious food, talked about our summer plans and enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere. We sat outside, which was perfect.
Afterwards we went to see a movie. We decided on the Pirates movie. LAME. I don't know about you, but I LOVED the first Pirates. It was so classic. It was just the right amounts of funny, serious, romance, adventure, etc...The feeling was just so fun. Then...the 2nd and 3rd one came along and they were awful in my opinion and the 4th one was better than the other two but just plain boring. Steve said it best "I felt like Johnny Depp wasn't even the star of his own movie." I completely agree. The thing that got me the most was that there was no fun in it. Oh well. Regardless we had a fun night together and it is always fun to actually go to a movie rather than watch one at home.
We had a great time together, alone. And then, when it was time, we were happy to be with our little bean sprout again.

Oh, what a fun way to celebrate! That restaurant sounds & LOOKS amazing! I love all the vines & plants & white chairs...ooooh! Beautiful :) I love that you two were able to spend the day with just the two of you! Wish I could've watched Olivia for ya!!! :) You two ARE so much fun. Oh, I sure love the Rules. :)
You worded it perfectly! The 4th Pirates was boring! I even dozed in the middle of it, haha. Yeah. The first was amazing, the second was okay, the 3rd -- ugh. Ew. I shudder even thinking about it. HORRIBLE. This one was better than the 3rd, but still not great.
I don't love that they use the same storyline over and over -- it's like, land with the white-wigged people, boat, find land... some crazy thing happens... find the treasure / cave / whatever... then have a big battle-scene... and sail off. Seen it. 4 times now. Let's come up with something new, people... :)
Ummm, you guys are adorable. What a sweet little family! :)
ughhhh i miss mexican food so much. it doesn't exist in europe. this post is making me extra hungry!
I was going to write out a bunch of thoughts, but Kelly said exactly what I wanted to (about the restaurant, happy anniversary, pirates). So, ditto sis!
