Olivia is 4 months!

Woah, mom...what's going on? 

Stats: 

Weight: 14.2 lbs

Height: 24 & 1/2 inches long

When Olivia hit 1 month, I cried...literally. When she hit 2 and 3 months I didn't cry but I was filled with this bittersweet feeling. My baby was growing up too quickly.

Now she is 4 months old, but this month I am filled with nothing but joy. I feel as if my baby has come "alive!" It is so much fun to see her little personality start to blossom and shine. It is so fun to get to know her a little bit more each and every day. So although it is still hard to watch her grow up and to watch time go by far too quickly, I know that it is what is meant to be. I love this little Angel of mine. I love our time together. 

-Olivia is most assuredly teething because she drools on everything and if I don't put a bib on her I have to change her outfit because it is soaked through. She is constantly sucking on her hands and anything else she can get into her mouth. (including daddy's arm when he holds her. Daddy is such a good sport!) Her Doctor said they probably wont pop out for another couple of months so we will be dealing with this for a while. And I'm okay with that. I don't want to see little white teeth yet!

-A Long time ago Olivia rolled over from her tummy to her back but it was a complete fluke. This past week she has been so close and all we have to do is just give her a little help. TODAY she rolled over for the first time all by herself! What a big girl. I made sure to clap and get excited about it. She is also close to rolling from her back to her tummy. She rolls onto her side but just doesn't know what to do with that dang arm that is in the way. It's adorable to watch. 

-She loves her Bumbo. It's like she knows that you aren't human unless you can sit up. So many times she would just cry when I put her on her back so I decided a bumbo was a good idea. She loves it! She will sit and watch me clean or fold laundry. Such a big girl.

-When she is laying on her back she usually scoots herself around in a circle. She moves quite a bit this little one of mine. 

-She always smiles at me, because I'm her momma, and let's face it...she loves me! haha but other than me...she prefers men. I don't know what it is but she will almost always smile at a man and only sometimes at a woman. We've already got to watch out for this one....

-I think we will be feeding her solids soon. She is starting to watch our every move as we put food into our mouths. I'm just waiting for her to start licking her lips haha. 

-Her naps are much better. Sometimes she still wakes up after 45 minutes but if I put her binki back in she sleeps longer, which is so nice! However I think we are going to be getting rid of the binki very soon for the very reason that she doesn't know how to fall back to sleep without it. 

-Sleeping at night...well it's not so good. Her Doctor said its called Developmental waking...so right now we are teaching her how to put herself to sleep. Actually she puts her self to sleep just fine when she first goes to bed at night, but when she wakes up in the middle of the night, well we're working on it. We will get there again I just know it! 

-This little girl likes to talk, blow bubbles, and squawk. She gets so loud sometimes! It usually results in us laughing because its so cute. And because she is so loud that we can't talk to one another.

I don't know what you are talking about mom. I am as quiet as a mouse!

-She LOVES her daddy...seriously loves!

-She is starting to realize she has little piggies!

-Loves to go on walks. When you put her in her stroller she gets the biggest grins and they usally last the entire duration of the walk. Melts my little heart. 

-She LOVES to look at herself in the mirror. She will smile at that little person who is smiling back at her and then she will get so excited about it that she will squeal and then wave her arms all over the place. It's pretty precious to watch. Sorry the pictures are blurry but she was moving around so much! It gives you an idea of just how much she loves it!

-She got her shots yesterday and I was so proud of her. Of course she screamed as they were giving them to her. When they were done, I quickly picked her up and rocked her and I bet it only took her 30 seconds (or less) before she stopped. Then it turned into a small whimper which was just so sad and precious at the same time. We spent most of the day cuddling (which she usually will only do if she's sleepy) and I soaked up every minute of it. 

Okay I could probably go on and on and on and on (you get the idea) about this little girl but that will have to do for now because she is going to wake up from her Nap soon and I still have so much to do!

This is one of her favorite toys. Her glow worm. It lights up and plays lullabye music. It really is kind of creepy but she loves it!
