I love Sundays, but today was especially wonderful. It was the kind of day where I can go to bed feeling like i have done enough and I am truly excited for tomorrow. Who really gets excited for Mondays right?
It began perfectly. Steve brought Olivia in and she was as happy as can be. She flashed that adorable toothless grin and I was ready to get up! In fact we were all up, fed, and showered by 9am. Miracle.
Sunday morning walks are a breath of fresh Air. Especially in the springtime. The weather right now is beautiful, beautiful enough that you don't have to wear a jacket even at 9 in the morning. The wind here in the spring is insane, so we decided to go before it picked up. Spring is so wonderful because of all the rebirth! Everything is new, refreshed, renewed and alive again. The trees are in bloom and so are the people. One of my favorite parts about living here is how active the people are. People are always out on the trails (there are so many wonderful trails). It was wonderful saying hi to probably 30+ people in less than 30 minutes on our walk. And after every hello and every smile from each stranger you somehow feel refreshed and renewed. It truly was a beautiful spring walk.
We returned to be spiritually uplifted and renewed during General Conference. It is such a blessing to spend the day listening to the Lord's prophet and apostles on the earth today. To listen to them give sermons of hope in days that sometimes seem hopeless. The spirit testifies that their words are true and that we all have a loving Heavenly Father who wants the very best for each of us. I know that to be true.
I wondered how distracted I would be this time because now I have a baby. Would I be too distracted by cries, whimpers, poopy diapers, hunger pains(from the lil one), etc...to really concentrate. Miraculously despite all those distractions I felt as if I was able to learn MORE than usual. Being a mother, I heard every message with new ears. New and so much better. It was fabulous.
Now the day wasn't all serious. Since we believe that Sunday is a day of rest this means hubs doesn't get his "wiggles" out which usually results in extremely silly behavior and lots of laughs from the three of us! Yes I said three...Liv babe laughed for the first time today!!!!

I made dinner tonight and I really miss making nice dinners like I use to before Olivia was born. I used fresh ingredients and it turned out delicious. A little Cajun Chicken Pasta anyone?
As I was cutting up the veggies I looked over to see this adorable little scene!
Steve felt it was necessary to introduce his daughter to one of his favorite Disney favorites. Can anyone guess which one it is? Okay it's really not that hard. It made me excited to think about all the movies I will introduce to her in the future( Disney, pride and prejudice, Anne of green gables, etc..) oh how exciting.
Well we ended our day just the way we began it. With another walk. This walk was more of an adventure because it was WINDY!!!! Wow. But just as enjoyable. We were going stir crazy. Stupid wind can't stop us!

Sounds like a perfect Sabbath day ~ How different it was a few {okay, 10 or so I would guess} hours north! We stayed bundled in pajamas and enjoyed the blue skies and snow covered ground with a fire in the fire place as we listened to the Good Word.
She's adorable!!
I'm so jealous...it's still in the 30's here in Rexburg...
Ohh, I love Spring - it really does bring those feelings of FRESHness and renewal... what a perfect Sunday! Those days are the best - just you and your family, enjoying each other at home. Love it.
I can't figure out what the movie is! Looks a little familiar... Tarzan? Or maybe Dumbo? (I've never seen that one.. haha)
Lauren I'm so happy to have found this blog! I tried clicking on your old one awhile ago and it said permission denied. I was so bummed. But I'm loving this new blog--it's so CUTE!
