This is a pain in the butt! Yesterday around 2 right at the end of church unstaffed getting cramps in my lower back and then began feeling more tightness in my lower abdomen.. Where as my Braxton hicks have been higher in my belly. They were more uncomfortable than ever had been before. I didn't get too excited but figured I wiuld keep an eye on it. I knew I was hungry so I figured maybe I am just hungry and dehydrated...came home and ate and drank a ton. They still continued. It didn't matter kf I was standing, sitting, lying down.. They weren't going away.
They were hard to really time. No clear ormdefinitive beginning or end. We decided to take a nice Sunday nap... I could t really sleep but I did doze off for about 15 minutes but I woke up still having contractions. More definitive, a little more intense. We went on a walk. They kept coming. Came home and played a game with Steve and now they were coming on average about every 5-8 minutes.. However sometimes I wouldn't get one for a little bit longer. They weren't really getting too much worse but definitely more uncomfortable... So I called the hospital and she told me it sounded like false labor. To drink tons of water and take a bath. Did both and it was the most unpleasant bath of my life. No relaxing.
Around 9:30 we went to pick up steves fam from the airport and the car seemed to make the contractions worse but thrown we got out and they eased up a bit. We went to bed around midnight and they were still coming. They came on and off through the night and still getting them a bit this morning. Made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. Oh well....just preparing my body for the real thing right?
I'm told it could be days or weeks away now....let's all hope for days as this is really getting uncomfortable and I want to hold my little girl more than anything in the whole world!!!
Have a wonderful day... I'm going for a very long walk! Cross your fingers! Haha

This is what someone told me and it works. If you get in a warm bath while having contractions and they go away it's false labor but if they continue it's real labor. That's how I determined I was in labor because they were being sporadic at first, but after the bath they intensified.
Lauren I'm si sorry! I totally get it! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you won't be waiting much longer!
How exciting!! I had false labor every night for a week...frustrating but what can you do? :) SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP!! If your contractions start at night stay in bed and relax as LONG as possible! Don't get up and time them until you have to. You'll just wear yourself out and then have the real work to do when you're getting tired. I'm so excited for you!!
oh, i so feel you girl! A few pieces of advice--if you want them. If you can't tell how consistent the contractions are--lie down, watch the clock and write down each cont. and the time, etc. It is annoying to do, but it will ease your mind. Drink plenty of water, but then make sure to PEEEEE! If you don't, all that water in you will make you have more contractions! Baths are nice... but only if it helps you relax. It is the warm and wetness of the bath that calm down the contractions. So try a wet warm towel on your back instead--if you don't like the bath.
If you want to keep the contractions going, then go on walks, etc!!! But, don't--I repeat, DON'T bounce on a yoga ball. Someone told me this would help speed up the process. I may have, I don't know, but I do know it causes hemorrhoids!
Oh, Lar!!! My thoughts & prayers are with you! I'm sorry it sucks right now :( Boo. Love you!!
