I love the 4th of July and this one was particularly wonderful. We went up to Michigan with Steve's family. Steve's Pop has a house on the lake there and it is so divinely beautiful. Steve has always talked about all the memories he has had there and I finally got to see first hand why he loves it there so much! The weather was perfect, the fishing was awesome, the water was beautiful, and the fireworks were fantastic! It was a marvelous weekend and nobody wanted it to end.

MY FIRST FISH!!!! Look how BIG it is! I was so excited but I didn't want to touch it. Gross!
We Had Tank Wars on the 4th and I would like you to notice that the tank that is the best in tact at the end of it all is MINE!!

Just floating on the tube...This was all of the tube I would agree to.
Steve and Dave going crazy on the tube! We never got the two of them to fly off but finally at the end of the Dave we got Dave off of the tube.. it was so fun!

Aren't these pictures of Steve when he was little absolutely adorable? I had never really seen many pictures of him when he was little and I just died when I saw them!!

Eeek -- you went FISHING!!! I love your mixed feelings - I'd be the same way (YAY! I caught a fish!! Ew... don't make me TOUCH it!)... and dang girl, that's a beautiful picture of you on the lake!! You're such a dish. (I don't think I've ever told anyone that... thank you for pulling that phrase out of me.) Umm... YES, that RED lighthouse screams Lauren. And cuuuuute pictures of little Steve! Haha :) Oh, I love you Lar!!!
Wow how fun. It makes me happy and sad to see those photos. Nana loved having photos of all of us, especially Steven the first grandchild. It looks like you guys had a ton of fun...that's great! I hope all is well.
Hello Friends! Just wanted to send a quick note to say we're thinking of you. (I'm much better at checking blogs than updating my own, obviously! But I'll work on it.) Happy 4th to you too. It sounds like you had tons of fun. We're happy for you but miss you guys all the same. Oh, what business is it that you're starting? I must have missed it, but I'm sure you'll do an amazing job at whatever you're working for!
JEALOUS!! Remember when I took that trip to Michigan and was jealous of all the Chicago-ites who'd head up the lake to their summer homes in Michigan? You're one of them!! Wow, it looks ideal. How fun!
