I am really excited about today's prompt though. Mixing Patterns! Without even realizing it, I did this the other day. But it was fun to try it again- and I tried to push myself even more- and I definitely did, but I am so pleased with the outcome. (I'm pretty sure I tried on several outfits and when I went to show hubs.....he gave me this weird blank stare...) This outfit didn't get the blank stare and he even gave me some encouraging pointers- what a good man;)
This stretched me for 2 reasons. First, I decided on a skirt. Don't get me wrong, I love skirts. BUT, I usually only wear them on Sunday when I go to church. I don't live in a culture where dressing up is the norm so I'm sure I'll feel a little out of place- but the key is to own it and just go with it. Second, the patterns- this is never something I would pick out to wear quickly, but that's why I love this challenge so much!

I love this! Most people stuck with stripes (myself included) but you branched out and it looks fabulous! The black and white in both pieces really pulls them together.

I keep hearing about pattern mixing lately too, and it's tricky to pull off but not do too much. I think you nailed it perfectly. Helps that you're so cute :)
I love the splash of color you added with your earrings. I think your outfit is cute and funky. :)
Oh and I see your little one likes to crash your photo shoots too!
