Today was filled with a small moment that I want to remember. It was an "I can't believe it" type of moment.
When Olivia was first born and shortly after the three of us would takes walks almost daily. We would usually walk up to a certain park. We didn't walk there to go be at the park, it was more of just a destination and then we would turn around and go back home. I remember on these walks where I would tell Steve how I couldn't wait until she was big enough that I could come here with her and push her on the swing.
Today was that day. As I sat there and watched my little angel smile with pure delight as she felt the moving sensation of the swing and a slight breeze on her face, I coudln't believe that we were here. I sat there pushing her thinking "OH MY" I can't believe that I am the mother of a child at a park. It sounds silly, but it just really heat me in that moment.

I pushed her in the swing for 30 minutes. She soaked up every swing. She watched every person walk by, every child playing near her, and every dog that happily ran in the park. She was all eyes and all ears, soaking in this fabulous world she lives in.
I soaked up every minute of her. I soaked up those curious looks she gave each little child. I soaked in the look she got on her face when I put her down in the sand. I watched as she grabbed a handful of sand and immediately started bringing her hand to her mouth only to be blocked by mommy's hand. I smiled with pride as she smiled and kicked her legs with each happy swing. I peacefully pushed her time and time again as she rapidly learned about her world. It was a moment of absolute bliss.
Today was one of those days that made up for the last 4 months of no sleep. It didn't matter that I got up who knows how many times the previous night or how many times I would get up again....because watching this little angel that is "mine" makes you realize what really is important.

How beautiful is she ?! I love her pictures at the park. Looks as though she had a blast ... and, you're right, it's wonderuful to view the world through their innocent eyes!
