We made sure to take them to get some good "New Mexican" cuisine at El Pinto. Seriously, it is such a fun restaurant....such great atmosphere! Sometimes the atmosphere is what makes the whole dining experience so wonderful. Our food was great too though! I took mom on a walk on a trail that we often visit and Dad and Steve ran on the same trail plus some! It is so refreshing to know that my wonderful husband and my wonderful father get along so well! We made lots of good Panini sandwhiches (those of you who have never had a panini are missing out....and if you don't own a Panini maker.. GET ONE!) Paninis are our absolute favorite lunch to make at home. YUMMY! Dad wouldn't stop talking about how good they were!
The Saturday they were here we all took a trip on the Sandia Tram! Steve and I have been talking about doing this since we moved here but never actually got around to doing it! This was a perfect opportunity! It is the longest aerial tramway and it was pretty cool. It takes you to the top of the Sandia mountains and then we took a little hike once we were up there. The views were absolutely breathtaking.
That night we went to the Utah vs UNLV game with my parents. YES we are AGGIE fans... but we also support our family especially when they come to visit US! And the Utes won and we were all quite happy. Sadly, I left my camera at home on accident and so no more pictures. The next day dad left and mom stayed for a few more days and then we drove to Utah together. While she was there she came to the Spanish Branch with us. Also, and probably the best part is that we got in a lot of good time watching "Anne of Green Gables." Now this is serious.... those of you who have never seen it.. SHAME ON YOU! Go watch it NOW! Love it!
I will write about my trip to Utah later!! Once again, love it when family comes to visit!
