What to Read????

Steve and I went to Borders last night, we were there for atleast an hour. I was looking around at all the books, I love to read novels, fantasy, history, really anything that is GOOD!! Anyway, last night I really wanted to find a good novel and nothing looked good. The other problem is that I didn't want to buy a book that I didn't know if I would like. Finally, I decided to look in the History section and I got Flag of Our Fathers by James Bradley. I love it so far! WOW!!! He is an amazing writer and the story he writes about is phenomenal. The book is all about the six men who raised the flag at Iwo Jima in WWII. It's pretty awesome. Nevertheless....I still need ideas of good books....I know many of you read so PLEASE give me a few ideas of books and authors that are good! Thanks a bunch!!

I gave your mom Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card for Christmas. Don't know if she has read it, but both Shari and I love it. There are a bunch in the series--I suggest reading Ender's Shadow after that.
And of course I ALWAYS love to read Agatha Christie's...

John Adams and 1776 by David Mccollough. I also suggest you join goodreads.com It allows you to see what others have read and how they have rated the books.

Gosh, you inspire me with your intellect! You've always wowed me with your ability to read so quickly. Way to check out the history section, that's a smart avenue to check out.

Lately I've been reading a bunch of biographies. I just finished one on Jackie Kennedy and now I'm reading one on her two children. I'm also reading President Hinckley's biography. Before that I read one on Princess Diana and another one about John Lennon. But... if none of that interests you then I was reading a bunch of really good books by the author of the "Bourne Identity" books, Robert Ludlum. He just writes these interesting suspenseful stories that I would get lost in. Also, the library always had lots of copies checked in. I especially liked, "The Cassandra Compact", "The Paris Option" and "The Altman Code." If you like suspenseful/action books "Deception Point" by Dan Brown (author of "DaVinci Code" and "Angels and Demons") is another good one. Good luck!! I love a good read, I'll have to remember this book!
